I promise today to live this life You have gifted me with as much honesty as I have so far and more, I will prove worthy of all that you have blessed me with, I will make each moment a success and an achievement that makes me proud and happy to live, I will make each day memorable for all the people I hold close, I will overlook the mistakes and lies of those who have hurt me but I will not give them the opportunity to do so again, I will give each person I meet a reason to smile even if its just for an instant, I will not look at all that’s gone wrong and waste time contemplating on the ‘what ifs’ - instead I will look at what I can and should do now, I will stand up for what I believe in and will be flexible enough to accommodate enough but I will not be taken for granted, I will hold on to each one who is true and who cares and will let go of all those who lie and are two-faced, I will not give any person the liberty to be in my thoughts if I am not in theirs, and I will give each person who has shown their loyalty, commitment and undying support in the past 24 years what they are truly worth and let them know how blessed I am because of their presence in my life.
